Hear the Fear is a practice-based research work by Dr. Nela Milic.
It will be screened on the 6th of April 2026 at 19.00, room 254, Architecture Faculty, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
The film engages with now 18-month long rebellion against the regime corruption in Serbia and in particular, the protest in the Serbian capital, Belgrade on the 15th of March 2025. This was the largest gathering the country has ever seen during which the government chose to use an acoustic weapon on protesters.
Through the survivor accounts, we captured the victims’ experience of this sound technology and created evidence of its use that the government denies. It has shocked the nation, not only because of its impact, but the audacity of the regime to use it against its own people.
The film is made in collaboration with Professor Zoran Djukanovic from Architecture Faculty in Belgrade and has been supported by Tracts COST Action, European Commission and Bosch Alumni Network.
